Music: You Can Fly Macaws on a Southwest Vacation |
Hi I'm Sonora, a handsome, charming, and modest Blue and Gold Macaw. My petite girlfriend, Chiquita, and I vacationed in the Southwest. I asked our flockmate, KAT, to show you the vacation photos. | She said you wouldn't be interested, but agreed to do it anyway. Email me if you like this page. I LIKE saying "I told you so." |
| Truckin on Out
I know, most birds fly south for the winter. Not me, my human keeps my flight feathers clipped too short to fly, but she always makes sure I travel in style. |

| Romantic Sunset
Here's Chiquita, enjoying the sunset in the Sonora Desert. (Yes, I'm so terrific they named a desert after me.) That plant beside her is an Occatillo. Those straight thorny limbs are used to make fences by some of the humans in this area. My human likes this photo so much she said she might make it into desktop wallpaper. Wait, she can't do that, I'm not in it! |
| Look Ma, one wing!
What a night for a ride in the sand dunes. The full moon was at my back to light the way. Oh, the thrill of the wind ruffling my feathers. Well, it would have been a thrill, but I got busted before I started: No helmet, no ride. |

| We'll stand on 20
We stopped at one of the Indian casinos in the desert to play a bit of blackjack. We were flying high when we bet it all on this deal. The dealer dealt himself a jack and an ace. |
| Bird Call
I had to dance for dimes to call home after we lost our seed money in the casino. |
|
| Back to Our Own Bath
So we didn't clean up at the casino. We're home now and already planning our next flight of fancy. Now please excuse us while we REALLY clean up. |
