To get all the grand kids together on one day, we usually celebrate Christmas a little early, as we did 12/21/01. After months of shopping and days of wrapping, we spent about a half hour tearing through gift opening.

We have two new customs, having now done them twice: 1) Our observation game, Questions: How many Disney medallion ornaments are hung throughout the house, and what character is on each? (12 medallions, the 2000 Disneyland characters-of-the-month) was successful with everyone getting some kind of prize, chosen in order of points won. 2) Lime float punch.

The big "turkey" dinner was 1 1/2 feet of turkey and the other 1 1/2 feet of the 3 foot sandwich Blimpie's Best. Of course there was Chex mix, with veggies, jalapeno dip, tortilla chips, guacamole, assorted candies, and sweets brought by the "kids".
